Do Not Buy Into These “Trends” About Greenpower Mobility
Greenpower Mobility – All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles Greenpower develops and distributes a range of high-floor and low-floor all-electric heavy and medium-duty vehicles. This includes school buses, transit buses, cargo buses, buses for cargo, and shuttles. EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle that has a high degree of personalization. It's also FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It has a range that is unbeatable, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery setups. EV Star GreenPower Motor Company produces a complete line of high-floor and low-floor all-electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can be used to accommodate many different bodies and upfits for a variety of applications. The design of the platform is based on a clear paper that allows for optimum placement of the battery pack and a lower center of gravity. This leads to better range/payload ratios. The EV Star REEFERX was developed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated truck's one interior wall structure and higher insulation compared to traditional trucks allow for seamless sanitation, improved temperature control, and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior cargo capacity and a world-class payload-to-range ratio for zero-emission goods and passenger transportation. GreenPower has joined forces with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system, which will allow fleets to seamlessly transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able of wireless charging of 75 kW. Learn Even more Here had the chance to test drive the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway, and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 can be used to block road noise and wind while driving along the highway. It rides smoothly over bumps and ruts. The vehicle's acceleration is surprising quick, and it has adjustable regenerative brakes to enable “one-pedal driving” simply by lifting off the accelerator. The EV9 is extremely reliable and can be fully charged within three hours at home, or with any commercial charger. Drivers can select between two operating modes including eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode focuses on torque, cruise control and handling while sport mode focuses on speed. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and offer an unforgettable experience for those who haven't been in a vehicle with an electrical system before. GreenPower offers a variety of other electric vehicles that include a multi-purpose all-electric minibus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used as executive shuttles, transit or microtransit vanpools, buses, and paratransit vehicles. GreenPower is already producing around 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 electric vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the needs of the Biden Administration, which is looking to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA conforming. They will be eligible for federal transit grants. Keep an eye on us as we follow the AV Star on its demonstration tour later in the year. We will share more details on this innovative EV!
